Taking better care of myself has meant exercise and what a great time to listen to some podcasts.
It’s easy if I’m walking on my indoor treadmill and makes the time go by quickly.
Today’s blog is about the podcasts that are my favourites and I listen to:
Women Talking About Learning (WTAL)
First is the podcast that started it all for me.
This was my first subscribed podcast, and has become my go-to option to listen to.
It’s a discussion between 2 women on a subject they care about – around learning and development.
Each podcast focuses on a specific subject, for example: The WellBeing One or The Instructional Design One.
New podcasts are released every Tuesday.
The guest’s are experts in their field, and share the knowledge and experience in an informal chat.
You may find a familiar name on a few of the podcasts…
- Ep 7. The Delivering Online One
- Ep 9. The Imposter Syndrome One
- Ep 19. The Compilation One
- Ep 50. The 50th One
You will learn something new in every episode – from ideas, to experiences and ways of thinking.
Tech Pixies / Sparkle and Thrive
TechPixies help women to leverage social media to return to work, change careers or start a business. As a result, the podcasts focus on social media platforms.
They focus on helping women returning to work improve their social media skills, from Facebook, to LinkedIn, to Instagram.
The podcast is an interview/chat between Joy Foster and a guest around social media, or how they have used social media to improve their business or life.
Similarly, a number of the podcasts features ladies that have completed training with the TechPixies and the results that they have achieved.
I’ve completed some of the training that TechPixies offer, and decided to give the podcast a go.
Amy Porterfield / Online Marketing Made Easy
Amy Porterfield has made a career out of helping people move into the online space with list building and online courses.
She’s worked the hard way up to her current business, and wants you to be able to take an easier route.
So, each episode focuses on a topic around online marketing, from expert interviews, mini execution plans, and intimate behind-the-scenes secrets from her biggest launches.
The podcast leaves you with practical and actionable items to move you forward in your business.
As a result, I’ve really enjoy listening to Amy, she’s positive, friendly and knowledgeable.
Emerald Works / The Mind Tools L&D Podcast
The Mind Tools L&D Podcast (previously The Good Practice podcast) from Emerald Works is for anyone involved in Learning and Development or HR.
The weekly show features regular appearances from the Good Practice team plus special guests to get right to the heart of issues affecting the L&D and HR communities.
It covers topics, from learning needs analysis and evidence-based practice through to the impact of technology on work and hot topics at industry conferences, you’ll get critical insights into the world of work, learning and performance.
Including topics such as Learner Surveys, Organizational Learning Strategy and Animation for Learning.
Jereshia Hawk / Jereshia Said
A new podcast for me to listen to, after Jereshia was a guest with Amy Porterfield.
From her website, about the podcast:
“Having the courage to start your own business and actually sell your consulting services online can be tough.
Each episode, we take a deep dive into one core growth strategy so you can gain a solid understanding of what’s required to serve, sell, and scale your consulting business.
All you have to do is listen to what Jereshia Said.”
I’m looking forward to listening to Jereshia, and hearing what she says.
James Wedmore / The Mind Your Business Podcast
This is another podcast that I’ve found through my learning.
I found him through a free course offer, covering Your First 100 Leads.
Because I found the course interesting and practical, I thought I’d add his podcast to my list.
I haven’t listened to them yet – but I will get around to them.
From his website: “James Wedmore teaches Digital CEOs how to build and scale their online businesses through courses and trainings like his signature program, Business By Design.”
