The Tools I Actually Use to Run My Business
I’m often asked what tools I use — so here they are. No paid promotions, just the software I genuinely rely on every day to run Michelle Kaye Training Ltd. Where I have an affiliate link I’ll say so — it means I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Microsoft 365
If you know me, you know this was going to be first. I’ve been working with Microsoft 365 for years and it’s the foundation of everything I do — Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Loop. It’s not just what I teach, it’s genuinely how I run my business every day.
With Copilot now built in, there’s even more to explore — and if you want help getting started with it, I’ve got a series of guides that cover exactly that.
Content Creation
Canva Pro
I use Canva Pro for pretty much everything visual — guide covers, social media graphics, thumbnails, and more. The Pro version is worth every penny if you’re creating content regularly.
Descript (affiliate link)
Descript is how I edit my videos and audio. What sold me was being able to edit by editing the transcript — it just makes the whole process so much faster.
Email Marketing
ActiveCampaign
My email marketing platform of choice. I use it for my weekly emails, automations, and lead magnet sequences. Powerful without being overwhelming once you get to know it.
AI Tools
Claude
Claude is my go-to AI tool for writing, thinking through ideas, and getting things done faster. If you’ve been wondering which AI assistant to use, this is mine.
Business Admin
ThriveCart
ThriveCart is where I host my courses. It’s a one-off payment rather than a monthly subscription which made it an easy decision, and it does everything I need.
Zoom
I use Zoom for online meetings and calls. I don’t use it daily but when I need it, it’s reliable and most people already have it — which helps.
